Ahmad's War, Ahmad's Peace Before his murder in 2004, Ahmad Shawkat represented the best free speech zone and the brightest of Iraq's citizenry. Under Saddam Hussein, Ahmad, a university lecturer, was imprisoned free speech zone and tortured.
